James' Shameless Plea

NEW! September 8, 2006-- Many thanks to all who have contributed! Unfortunately, the total donations over the past two months only pay for about a week and a half of my living expenses. This averages to less than 10 cents ($0.10 USD) per software download; fewer than 1% of downloaders make a donation. So if you want to see continued development of the software here, please consider donating $10 or more to help cover all the users who can't afford to pay anything, or who are in countries where online payment isn't a safe option. You could say that each dollar you donate enables one such user to download the software. In the meantime, as promised, I'll spend that week and a half working on CGIProxy.

July 3, 2006-- OK, I really hate asking for money, but unfortunately that time has come. Basically, if I don't get donations, I can't keep developing the software (mostly CGIProxy). I wish I could, but I've already spent a lot of my own time and money to keep it going.

I think we can make this work, though; it won't take much. For example, if I get even just $1.00 (USD) from each person who downloads CGIProxy (or $10.00 each from 10% of downloaders, etc.), I could afford to work on it full-time, buy test equipment, and so forth.

If your company uses CGIProxy or other software from here, please buy a commercial license for it, or encourage your company to do so.

Even if you can't give, I still hope you benefit from this site. But now it's simple cause-and-effect: if I don't get donations, I'll have to get a job elsewhere, and won't be able to spend time here. The time I can spend here is proportional to the amount of donations that come in.

You can donate either with a credit card or from a PayPal account, using the form below. If you'd rather send a check, then please email me for details.

Whatever amount you give, I truly appreciate your contribution! Thank you very much! You are helping beneficiaries of this site all over the world.
